The storm Therese is going to leave a windy and wavy weekend in Lanzarote. This has been reported by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), which has established two yellow warnings for winds of more than 70 kilometers per hour and waves of up to five meters.

For this Saturday, Aemet forecasts that Lanzarote will be between 09:00 in the morning and 21:00 at night under low risk for wind. Maximum gusts can be 70 kilometers per hour, from the southwest, especially affecting inland areas. The wind will be moderate to strong, with very strong gusts from mid-morning and that will subside during the end of the day. 

Meanwhile, seven-force swell is also forecast, with winds at sea between 50 and 61 kilometers per hour in the same time slot as the wind. 

To the wind and the swell are added the probable weak to moderate rainfall, which could be accompanied by storms, in the central hours of the day, with partly cloudy skies in the first and last hours of the day. Meanwhile, temperatures will be with few changes.

For Sunday, the skies will present cloudy intervals with moderate and occasional precipitation. Temperatures will have few changes. While the wind will be moderate to strong from the southwest, with occasional very strong gusts on southeast and northwest slopes. The wind will subside from mid-morning on Sunday.
