The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued an orange warning for this Tuesday in Lanzarote due to the strong waves, as well as yellow warnings until this Wednesday due to the strong wind.

Specifically, Aemet has foreseen a "significant risk" due to adverse coastal phenomena on the island from 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday night to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Combined sea from the north and northeast is expected with waves between five and six meters high, which will mainly affect the north and west of the island.

At the same time, the wind will be from the northeast between 50 and 61 kilometers per hour and force seven. Meanwhile, a level of "risk" has also been reported due to the ventoral that is already hitting the island and that will last until 2:59 p.m. this Wednesday.

Aemet has predicted maximum gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour, with an intense trade wind that will significantly affect the southern half of the island and mountain areas.
