The Virgen de Los Dolores started this Sunday around 6 in the morning the return to the hermitage of Mancha Blanca.
After the Marian Prayer, about 1,300 people accompany the Virgin from Arrecife, specifically in the Church of San Ginés, according to the estimates of the Emergency Consortium.
The patron saint of Lanzarote, has been in Arrecife since Saturday, November 30 in her third Descent to Arrecife (the previous ones were in 1939 and 1959). The third Descent of Los Dolores to Arrecife coincides with the 225th anniversary of the founding of Arrecife as a municipality and the 200 years of the last volcanic eruption in Lanzarote, the La Capellanía de Tao volcano, which took place in 1824.
Around 1:00 p.m., the Virgen de Los Dolores together with the parishioners have arrived at the hermitage.
