Social networks were flooded with criticism and complaints from the citizens of Lanzarote after the viralization of a video in which some French tourists are seen bathing in the Jameos del Agua, in the lake where the endemic blind crabs live.
"Surprised and tremendously angry at the lack of education, civility and respect for the work of César Manrique," said the CEO of the Tourist Centers, Benjamín Perdomo, on his social networks. In addition, Perdomo has denounced that this action is "a serious threat to the habitat of one of our most beloved and representative endemic species."
The CEO of the Tourist Centers has assured that the tourists were expelled from the Jameos del Agua.
