In a letter addressed to the representatives of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, the Titerroy Neighborhood Association has requested "for the fifth time" a meeting with the president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort. This was revealed in a press release.

In the text that La Voz has accessed, it has emphasized that the objective of this request, resent to different councilors and also copied to the representatives of the opposition, is to "collaborate with public administrations" to facilitate "a better quality of life for the residents" of the neighborhood and Arrecife in general.

Likewise, this organization has highlighted that "on the same day" of Oswaldo Betancort's inauguration as head of the Cabildo, on July 26, the Association requested a meeting, but their requests were not answered.

This request was made with the objective of holding a meeting to discuss several issues:

  1. The 14 years that the residents of Titerroy have been evicted from their homes.
  2. Alleged irregularities in the conservation and maintenance service of road margins and garden areas, between the years 2021 to March 2023.
