The Historic Site of the Villa will host this Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. a new day with a greater offer of general sales, crafts and food in a new concept of Market redesigned to comply with all health and hygiene safety protocols, while managing to reactivate and boost the open commercial area of the Villa. Last Sunday, November 8, it reopened receiving almost 3 thousand people, who accessed the Plaza de La Mareta through the two access entrances controlled by Emerlan and the Teguise Volunteer Group of Civil Protection, with temperature taking and with hydroalcoholic gel for hand hygiene for each visitor.
The person in charge of the Market, Eugenio Robayna, on behalf of the mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, and the entire Corporation, reiterates his congratulations "to all those who have worked to ensure that the Villa recovers an event that promotes the local economy and that little by little will recover its identity despite the circumstances marked by Covid19." Likewise, Robayna has announced that "this Sunday new sales stands will be incorporated and as a novelty, given the request of many citizens of the island, users will be allowed to access accompanied by their pets."
"We hope that the effort made by the municipal technical team, as well as by the Emergency Consortium and the Security Forces, is reflected in higher income for the entire commercial and business fabric of the area and for this we invite all of Lanzarote to visit and consume Teguise and its Real Villa," added the councilman.
