The haze affecting Lanzarote and La Graciosa this weekend will be joined by a noticeable rise in temperatures on Monday, with values up to 30 degrees, according to the State Meteorological Agency.
As you may recall, Lanzarote and the rest of the Canary Islands are under a yellow alert for suspended dust which will extend until this Monday at 7:00 PM. This haze has intensified this Sunday, with reduced visibility of 3,000 meters.
The Aemet forecasts that the week will begin on the island with mostly clear skies, with intervals of medium and high clouds, as well as a low probability of some weak, occasional, and scattered rain. The haze will continue with **high concentrations of dust** on the surface, especially during the morning and afternoon, tending to decrease towards the end.
Minimum temperatures will see little change, ranging between 18 and 20 degrees, while maximum temperatures will be on the rise and could locally reach 30 degrees in inland areas. The wind will blow moderately from the east, predominantly southeast, decreasing to light winds throughout the morning. Some locally very strong gusts are not ruled out on the western slope in the early morning.
As for Tuesday, skies are expected to be partly cloudy, with the possibility of some light and scattered rain. Minimum temperatures will drop slightly, and maximum temperatures will decrease moderately, with values between 16-17 degrees and 23. The wind will blow moderately from the northeast.
