The president of Emerlan will receive the Cross of Merit from the Civil Guard

The Civil Guard has awarded the Cross of Merit to the president of Emergencias y Rescate Lanzarote (Emerlan), Isidoro Blanco Iglesias, as reported by the NGO.

"On behalf of our president and all the Emerlan volunteers, we want to thank the Civil Guard for this recognition, which makes us proud and motivates us to continue performing our daily work in the world of emergencies and social action," they point out from the association.

According to them, this is "the recognition of a person who represents the work of hundreds of volunteers day by day and in all kinds of situations."

In addition, they extend their gratitude "to the people of Lanzarote and La Graciosa for always counting" on this NGO, "as one more part of the global Emergency and Rescue operation in the Canary Islands."

The protocolary delivery ceremony will take place on Friday, May 20 on the island of Gran Canaria.
