The Government of the Canary Islands, through the General Directorate of Emergencies, ends the pre-alert situation for winds throughout the archipelago, starting at 12:00 on Tuesday, August 20. This decision is made taking into account the information provided by the State Meteorological Agency and other available sources, and in application of the Specific Emergency Plan of the Canary Islands for Risks of Adverse Meteorological Phenomena (PEFMA).

However, it maintains the pre-alerts for haze, high temperatures and storms.

Forecast for Wednesday, August 21

For this Wednesday there will be cloudy intervals in the north tending to partly cloudy during the morning. In the rest, partly cloudy or clear with intervals of high clouds at the beginning. The haze at altitude will be withdrawn.

As for temperatures, they will remain unchanged or slightly decreased. The wind will blow moderately from the northeast with strong intervals in inland areas, where there is a probability of some locally very strong gusts.
