The town of Tiagua is celebrating the festivities in honor of Ntra. Mrs. del Socorro and for this reason the management of the Socio Cultural Center "El Molino" of Tiagua and the neighbors have prepared an extensive program of parties for the enjoyment of the little ones, young people and adults.
Without a doubt, one of the most emotional programmed events was the one held on the night of Friday, September 5 on the sports courts called "Festival Parrandero". A solidarity event to benefit the child Ángel Martín de León, who suffers from severe mental retardation, disability of the nervous and muscular system, cerebral palsy and degree in the limitations in the activity of 100%, in order to raise funds to be able to put at your disposal a wheelchair adapted to your need.
The event featured musical performances by the parrandas, El Lagar de Teseguite, Los Salineros de la Hoya, Parranda de Los Valles and the musical group Calicanto giving their best so that the public that responded massively could enjoy an evening with good music to dance to.
According to the president of the C.S.C. El Molino de Tiagua, Antonio Aguilar Martín, the collection reached the figure of 3,200 euros to which was also added about 2,000 kilos of plastic caps. The festival was attended by the mother of the little Ángel, Eva de León Delgado. Eva addressed the public with her words broken and very excited by the response obtained since the chair that Ángel needs is valued at about 7,000 euros.
