The Mercedes Medina Díaz Association announces one more year the scholarships for university students with difficulties and with a good academic record. These aids correspond to the 2023/2024 academic year and will contribute to the growth and development of young students on the Island.
The Minister of Education of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Ascensión Toledo, attended the presentation of this new call, and thanked the Association for "its fundamental role in benefit of the education and training of the population, as well as the businessmen and businesswomen who collaborate with the financing of these benefits."
She also congratulated the scholarship recipients of previous editions "for the magnificent academic evolution demonstrated."
The purpose of the scholarship is the acquisition of a basic cultural and academic university education. It will be granted directly, taking into account the academic results, the levels of income and assets of the applicant's family unit and special circumstances of the people who request it.
The procedures to access this scholarship will be open between July 15 and August 15 and ten people will benefit from the aid.
