This Tuesday, the company Intercity Bus Lanzarote presented its new advertising spot at the Guaguas station. This advertising spot has been starred by the Lanzarote comedian and actor, Kike Pérez, who has tried to capture some of the inappropriate behaviors that take place in the day-to-day use of public transport on the island of Lanzarote.

In the advertisement, therefore, various characters are visualized who reproach the driving personnel of the transport, maintain inadequate and annoying behaviors for the rest of the users of the same and, make a bad use of the public transport, entailing a greater workload in what concerns the cleaning staff.

The purpose of this advertising spot has been to raise awareness and sensitize society about respect for the rules of behavior, as well as correct treatment both in relation to other transport users and in what concerns the labor personnel. "In general terms, this advertising spot also shows that an adequate, responsible and respectful use of public transport, as well as maintaining a friendly behavior during the journey, would have a positive impact on the service itself," they point out from the transport company.

The event was attended by the Councilor of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Domingo Cejas, responsible for the Area of Transport and Mobility. Cejas stressed that, "while it is true that the largest percentage of the population makes an adequate and reasonable use of public transport, we should not ignore those people who are disrespectful, both with the rest of users and with the labor personnel." In addition, he thanked the work of the Lanzarote company, in carrying out and promoting this type of awareness actions aimed at the population in general.

For his part, the comedian and actor Kike Pérez has also thanked the "trust placed in him to make this advertising spot" and has also encouraged the use of public transport, in a respectful and friendly manner.

The director of Intercity Bus, Esther Cabrera, has explained that "many of the new buses acquired recently, already show the neglect by the people who use them daily" and stressed that "the care of the resources we have, has to be a task of the entire population".

Finally, Cabrera pointed out that "there are other uncontrollable issues for the company, such as not having specific lanes for the use of public transport, which results in the fact that, together with the large influx of current traffic, there may be situations of delays." Even so, he stated that "they will continue working to improve the quality of the service".
