The Municipal Theater of Tías hosted last Friday night, within the program of the Festivities of Our Lady of La Candelaria and San Blas, the presentation of the new attire of the Guágaro Cultural and Musical Association. For this, the group had the advice of Ricardo Reguera, a man knowledgeable in Canarian clothing.
The act began with the projection of a video, which included part of the group's biography in its almost 20 years of history. The 30 members felt supported by family and friends, who traveled to the theater, not only to see the new clothing, but also to enjoy the concert, in which they presented new songs.
On such a special day for the group, Guágaro also had the presence of his music teacher and creator of this family, Octavio Cancio Quintero, who took the stage and recalled the entire process carried out for the creation of the musical group.
Afterwards, it was Ricardo Reguera Ramírez who took the stage and explained how the process had been carried out to achieve the design of the new clothing, reminding all the members that, from now on, it is up to them not only to wear it, but also to take care of it.
Then, the Guágaro musical group continued with its repertoire and, before finishing, presented a gift to the mayor of the municipality, José Francisco Hernández, for the collaboration from the City Council that he presides over, as well as to the musical director, Blas Martín, for his dedication and great effort to carry out the scheduled event of the presentation of what from now on will be his new attire.
The audience, very animated at all times, accompanied with applause and participated with their voices in some of the best-known popular refrains.
