The Directorate General of Emergencies, based on the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), has lowered the heat alert situation to pre-alert in Lanzarote and La Graciosa.
According to Aemet's forecast, the heat episode will continue in the archipelago, but it will be less intense from this Thursday, so from 5:00 PM this Wednesday, Lanzarote and La Graciosa will move from alert to pre-alert for heat.
Even so, temperatures of up to 34 degrees are expected to be reached locally, especially in the southern half of the island.
For their part, in Gran Canaria (east, south, and west slopes) and La Palma (summits and west slope), they will remain on alert, where high nighttime temperatures are forecast in midlands and poorly ventilated areas, which will make rest and thermal recovery difficult.
