Following the meeting between the General Directorate of Emergencies, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), and the island councils, the islands will be on pre-alert for rain this Thursday due to storm Olivier. From this moment on, the territorial plans will be deactivated, although municipalities such as Arrecife will continue to suspend outdoor activities as a preventive measure.
On the other hand, the yellow warnings for rain in Lanzarote and La Graciosa end at 12:00 p.m. However, around 9:00 p.m. this Thursday, another weakened front will pass through again, which may leave light and locally moderate rain.
This coming Friday there is also a possibility of light rain, and during the afternoon of Saturday, the anticyclone will begin to enter with the entry of the trade winds, which will give way to a clear Holy Week with stable weather.
