Caceroladas, Palestinian flags and banners for the end of the genocide in Gaza have toured the streets of Arrecife this Saturday. The Lanzarote with Palestine collective has carried out a protest action on the morning of this August 30 in the capital of the island to demand that the Israeli forces stop occupying the Gaza Strip and peace be established in the area.
Support for the peace flotilla in Gaza
This gathering, which brought together around a hundred people, takes place one day before a flotilla of ships departs from the city of Barcelona, bound for Gaza to try to open a humanitarian corridor and end the famine in the country. A resident of Lanzarote has also boarded this flotilla.
The action started on León y Castillo street in Arrecife, next to the Casa Amarilla, at 12:00 in the morning. After that, they toured the Muelle de Las Cebollas and ended at the Puente de Las Bolas. In it, they had a jolatero, a typical boat from the island of Lanzarote, full of paper boats and messages in favor of the freedom of the Palestinian people. Dozens of flags also waved.
