The candidates for Miss Arrecife and Queen of the San Ginés festivities were officially presented on Monday afternoon and have already begun the traditional round of visits. On Tuesday morning, they were received at the Arrecife City Council by the mayor, Enrique Pérez Parrilla, and the Councilor for Festivities, Víctor San Ginés.
During this meeting, the capital's mayor wished them good luck and thanked them for their participation. Then, the young women went to visit the shops on Calle Real.
The candidates are staying at the Arrecife Gran Hotel until the end of the contest. There are 18 girls from 18 to 25 years old, who dream of getting the title. Natalia Curbelo, Purificación Cabrera, Leticia Vizcaíno, Miriam Sánchez, Davinia garcía, Chaxiraxi Caraballo, Erlinda Suárez, Jessica González, Victoria Guerrero, Cristina Martínez, Tamara Márquez, Catahisa Guerra, Rocío Tabares, Katherine Rodríguez, Mª Ángela Vicari, Mª José Alemán, Laura Picón, and Sara García will compete for the crown.
