Faced with the housing emergency suffered by the island of Lanzarote, where there are fewer and fewer residences available, a user of the Airbnb accommodation platform offers an "urban camping" in Arrecife, consisting of several tents located on the roof of his private home, in which guests sleep.
In this way, for an average price of fifteen euros per night, visitors spend the evening in a tent and have access to the host's house, where they can make use of the kitchen, bathroom or even the work area, as if it were a hostel.
Although in the characteristics of the accommodation the owner indicates that it is available for long stays, and many of the comments of people who have passed through there point out that the tents are "comfortable and clean", others indicate that if someone plans to stay more days they recommend "sleeping in a room".
"I only stayed one night and was cold, if you want more warmth you have to pay five euros for a blanket, because in the tent there are only sheets and a thin duvet", explains the user.

Requirements
Among the rules of the accommodation, exposed on the platform, is that access to "all areas of the house" is allowed, except for private rooms, but that "everything must be left clean and tidy after each use" and no smoking in any of the facilities, as failure to comply would result in a fine of 500 euros.
Regarding the tent, each person is provided with a padlock, which, in case of loss, must pay the price of the key and the cost of the tent, estimated at 50 euros.
Likewise, the host reminds visitors that they must take into account that if they do not correctly follow the instructions "or mistake the room, bed or camping" they will be fined 35 euros for the inconvenience caused with 35 euros for the inconvenience caused.
