The Tao Senior Citizens Association brought together the rest of the senior citizens of the municipality of Teguise in the town's sociocultural center to carry out a solidarity campaign to collect food for the people most in need. Around 200 people attended the stall they organized.
The event included music and the public enjoyed performances by Amigos de Portonao and Salineros de la Hoya, as well as a play by the senior citizens of Tao themselves. During the event, products were contributed to meet the demand of the municipality's food bank.
The mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, and the councilor of the Senior Citizen area, Nori Machín, attended this event and thanked the seniors for "their small grain of sand for a great initiative that contributes to improving the quality of life of many residents who are going through a difficult situation."
