With remarkable participation and a lot of animation, the scheduled events of the festivities in honor of Our Lady of Las Nieves continue to be celebrated on the mountain of Teguise.

Last Saturday, and for the first time, the Teguise City Council invited all the pilgrims to share a lunch at 2:00 p.m. in the municipal tent, in order to regain strength before starting, at 4:30 p.m., the pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Las Nieves and participate in the emotional 'Pilgrimage-Offering'.

At 7:30 p.m. the Pilgrim's Eucharist began, presided over by the parish priest of Teguise, Juan Manuel Molina, with full capacity. The faithful, very animated, participated in the readings and songs appropriate for such a special celebration.

Once the Eucharist was finished, the offering presented by the parish priest began. This year, due to the strong prevailing wind and the dense fog, the image of Our Lady of Las Nieves could not leave her Sanctuary, having to be done inside it.

It is worth highlighting once again the generosity of the pilgrims who came from different towns of Lanzarote such as La Santa, Haría, Teseguite, El Mojón, Los Valles, Teguise, Tahíche, Nazaret, Guatiza. etc. All of them came to the feet of the Virgen de Las Nieves to leave their offerings which are destined to the Cáritas Parroquiales of Teguise which is in charge of distributing them to the most vulnerable families.

Once the offering of non-perishable products was finished, the offering began with music and traditional Canarian dances with the Guagime Folklore Group of Tahíche, the Parranda Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe of Teguise and the Coros y Danzas Group of La Gomera closed the event. The three groups were highly applauded in each of their interventions by the public who, eager for a party, encouraged them to continue.

The parish priest Juan Manuel Molina said goodbye to the 'Pilgrimage Offering', thanking everyone, the Teguise City Council, pilgrims, folklore groups and the general public for their valuable collaboration.
