Student Miriam Echezarreta receives the Extraordinary Professional Training Award in Lanzarote

These awards, aimed at Higher Grade students, represent a recognition of their work, effort and dedication

A student from Lanzarote has been awarded the Extraordinary Higher Level Professional Training Award, corresponding to the 2022/2023 academic year, which is granted by the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands. In addition, 18 other awards have been given between Gran Canaria and Tenerife.

This is the student Miriam Echezarreta García, from the Hospitality and Tourism Degree of the CIFP Zonzamas.

These awards recognize the academic and professional career of all these students, based on their work, effort and dedication, since to access these awards they have had to achieve an arithmetic average grade higher than 8.5 in all the modules or subjects they have studied.

Resolved by a jury composed of education inspectors, specialists in the subjects, secondary school teachers and technical teachers of Vocational Training, appointed by the General Directorate of Centers of the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands, these awards represent an important recognition for the distinguished students, since it will appear in their respective academic records. In addition, it will allow them to compete for these awards in the national competition convened by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.

Award winners in other islands

On other islands, the awards are divided between ten in Gran Canaria and eight in Tenerife. In Gran Canaria, Néstor Santana Farías, from Image and Sound, and Acoraida Déniz Sánchez, from Sociocultural and Community Services, both students of the Integrated Center for Vocational Training (CIFP) Felo Monzón Grau Bassas, the only one that contributes two students on this island, have been awarded. In addition to Octavio José Coello Ojeda, a student of Agriculture at the Institute of Secondary Education (IES) La Aldea de San Nicolás; Sabina del Carmen Mejías Fleitas, a student of Administration and Management at the Adult Education Center (CEPA) Telde-Casco; Néstor Anguita Quintero, a student of Commerce and Marketing at the CIFP Cruz de Piedra; Almuth Sophia Springer, from Energy and Water at the CIFP San Cristóbal; Naoko Akiya López, who is studying Food Industries at the IES Vega de San Mateo; Nauzet Francisco Munguía Cabrera, as a representative of the Maritime-Fishing family, from the IES Profesor Antonio Cabrera Pérez; Shirlaf Mosquera Cardia, who studies Chemistry at IES Politécnico de Las Palmas and Raquel Caballero Alvarado, a student of Health at the IES Profesor Antonio Cabrera Pérez.

Three award winners make the CIFP Virgen de Candelaria, in Tenerife, the center that contributes the most students to these Extraordinary Awards in all of the Canary Islands, with Annia Ferrera Hernández, a student of Physical and Sports Activities; Álex Castro González, of Graphic Arts, and Jonay Rodríguez Hernández, of Mechanical Manufacturing, as its representatives. Another two students belong to the CIFP Las Indias. They are Carolina Díez Nogueira, a student of Personal Image, and Francisco Guerrero Espinosa, of Textiles, Clothing and Leather.

On the same island, three other students are on the list: Jesús Josué Mamely García, of Building and Civil Works at the IES Geneto; Gustavo Jorge Pires Gabriel Nunes Da Silva, who is studying Electricity and Electronics at the IES Puerto de La Cruz-Telesforo Bravo and José Francisco Ferraz Sánchez, of Transport and Vehicle Maintenance at the Center for Improvement, Experimentation and Pedagogical Research (CPEIPS) San Juan Bosco.
