The Arrecife Carnival 2014 could have up to six candidates for the reign of fantasy this year. This was stated by the Councilor for Festivities, Víctor Sanginés, after meeting with as many designers interested in participating with their creations in the most important event of the Carnivals, together with the murgas contest.
In this second meeting, according to the City Council, the dressmakers have shown "their good willingness to collaborate in locating companies willing to sponsor the candidates, so that the Carnival does not lose one of its fundamental events."
According to Sanginés, "the designers propose that the City Council provide documentation accrediting the fundamental dates of the Carnival, events in which the candidates - and later the queen - will be present, and the presence of collaborating firms in posters and advertising."
"We want companies to understand that their contribution, in addition to being an invaluable help to the celebration of the capital's festivities, can have a favorable impact as an investment in their corporate image," says the mayor.
