Salvamento Marítimo has rescued on Wednesday night, August 19, two makeshift boats in waters near Lanzarote with about 132 people on board.
According to the Emergency Consortium, in the first of the boats traveled about 45 people and it is estimated they will arrive at Puerto Naos around 24:00 hours where they will be attended on land by Red Cross volunteers.
In the second makeshift boat travel about 87 people, two children and ten women among them. The arrival time in Lanzarote is currently unknown.
This is the first makeshift boat to arrive in Lanzarote in August, the last one was sighted near the coast of Teguise on July 29.
