The Salvamar Al Nair disembarked at around 10:00 a.m. this Sunday at the Arrecife Commercial dock with a new expedition of immigrants that it rescued early this Sunday north of Fuerteventura, as reported to EFE by a spokesperson for the public business entity.
At around 07:00 hours, 112 contacted the Maritime Rescue center in Las Palmas and reported that they had received a call from a boat sailing 6 kilometers north of Fuerteventura.
The controllers mobilized the Helimer 205 and the Salvamar Al Nair, whose crew was able to rescue around 09:00 hours the 56 people who were on board: 42 men, 12 women and two minors, all sub-Saharan.
Once on land, the Red Cross assisted them and they all arrived in good condition, so no transfer to the Hospital was necessary.
