Red Eléctrica will begin next Tuesday, November 16, in Playa Blanca, the laying of the cable for the new submarine interconnection between the islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
The cable ship Leonardo Da Vinci will begin the laying work in waters near Las Coloradas beach, tasks that will continue in the coming days until its arrival in Fuerteventura.
The laying work can be observed from the Playa Blanca promenade, near Las Palmas street, next to the Mirador de Papagayo hotel.
The President of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo Berriel, the Mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Manuel Noda González, the General Director of Energy of the Government of the Canary Islands, Rosa Ana Melián Domínguez, the Director of Investment and Transport Management projects of Red Eléctrica, Ramón Granadino Goenechea, and the delegate of Red Eléctrica in the Canary Islands, Ainara Irigoyen Zarragoicoechea, will attend the monitoring of these works.
