This Saturday, the Disgroup Foundation has called a rally at the Arrecife City Hall in defense of people with disabilities. From the foundation accuses the PP of "liar", since "Arrecife in 2023 does not comply with the law or the human rights of people with disabilities, if they treat us like this, what will they do to you".
From Disgroup they explain that they have taken this decision "in view of the discomfort and complaints of several people with disabilities in the city and after having denounced the City Council of Arrecife for lack of accessibility on public roads and in public transport (adapted taxis), a long time ago by different means and before going to the administrative litigation".
"Given the little or no intention on the part of the administration to comply with the law and the rights of people with disabilities, we are obliged to call a rally on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 12:00 noon, in front of the Arrecife City Hall, to demand decent mobility for people with disabilities.
Likewise, "a manifesto will be delivered to the City Council with the demands requested by the group of people with disabilities for good mobility in the city", they add.
"People with disabilities are not second-class citizens," they conclude.
