The Command of the Civil Guard of Las Palmas, within the framework of the Coordination and Collaboration Protocol established between the State Security Forces and Corps and the Local Police, developed in July and early August training days aimed at local police officers, focused on operational intervention, police technical defense and police shooting.

The activities were carried out for two days on both islands. The first day was oriented to the improvement of police defense techniques. Procedures were addressed for the correct performance of identifications, searches, handcuffing and driving of detainees. Through theoretical and practical sessions, participants were able to reinforce their skills and update their knowledge in the field of intervention and operational control.

The second day focused on police shooting training. The agents received training in the fundamental principles of safety in the use of firearms, as well as in the safe handling of the regulation weapon. Key aspects such as posture, focus and precise execution were also worked on, favoring both technical skill and confidence in real service situations.

The initiative has been a success, with a high participation of agents from both islands, which reflects the interest and commitment of security professionals. This joint effort contributes to a more effective application of the techniques learned, resulting in a higher quality and safer service for all citizens.
