Residents of Lanzarote have gathered again at the Guinate viewpoint to express their rejection of the installation of the SIVE in that place, where works have already begun. This is the second citizen mobilization, after the one held on December ninth.
The attendees at the concentration, which had a similar participation to the previous one, expressed their disagreement with the cry of: "Guinate is not touched!", also wearing black shirts again. Banners were placed again on the fences of the work, symbolizing crosses and coffins, and even on one of them you could read: "RIP Biosphere".
However, the senator for Lanzarote, Manuel Fajardo Palarea, has opened the possibility that the SIVE can be relocated, and has also assured that the Ministry of the Interior will stop the works this Monday, to see if an agreement is reached between both institutions, as announced in the Buenos Días Lanzarote of Radio Lanzarote - Onda Cero.
