A new boat has been located in the early morning in waters near Lanzarote, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.
The zodiac-type boat was intercepted at about 02.45 hours on Friday, March 10 with 37 immigrants on board. Among the occupants of the boat were 36 men and one woman, of sub-Saharan and Maghreb origin.
Maritime Rescue has transferred them to the Commercial dock where they have been attended by the Red Cross. Specifically, six volunteers from the Immediate Emergency Response Team (ERIE) assisted them.
According to the NGO, they were in good health and no transfer to a medical center was necessary.
With the arrival of this boat, there are already four boats that have arrived in Lanzarote in the last week, with a total of 167 migrants.
