National Geographic has published a spectacular photo of the devil of the Timanfaya National Park taken by Juan Méndez from Lanzarote.

With this publication, it is the fifth time that the magazine has published images of the photographer from Lanzarote, who has already accumulated four from Lanzarote and one from La Palma.

"It was about 10 months waiting for the sun to be placed in the place that I had planned to take the photo", says Juan Méndez, who says he was "very excited to do it", after the idea occurred to him from "a year ago".

"For me it is a pride and pure motivation that a page or magazine like National Geographic looks at my photos and shares them", says the author.

Juan Méndez is a photography enthusiast, and through his instagram, @j.mendez.fotografia, he shows all his work.
