A municipality in Lanzarote reached 31.6 degrees at 9 in the morning this Monday in the middle of the episode of forecasted heat also for the beginning of the week. This is according to information updated by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) from its station located in Haría.
During the first day on yellow alert for heat, where temperatures of up to 34 degrees were expected, with locally reaching 37, the northern municipality reached a maximum of 28.3 degrees at 6:00 p.m. However, everything indicates that this Monday will be hotter.
It should be remembered that the island is on yellow alert for high temperatures between 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. from this Sunday, at least, until Tuesday.
The municipality of Tías reached 31.2 degrees on Sunday afternoon, around 5:00 p.m., while the minimums have been around 17 degrees.
Meanwhile, in La Graciosa, a maximum of 24.1 degrees was reached at 4:00 p.m. and minimums above 18 degrees during the early morning.
Throughout this past May 24, the municipality of Tinajo registered a maximum of 24.9 degrees and minimums above 16.7 degrees during the night.
At the Aemet station in Playa Blanca, in Yaiza, the maximum was 24.1 degrees at 3:00 p.m., while the minimums have been above 19 degrees during the night.
At the Lanzarote Airport station, in San Bartolomé, maximums of 26 degrees were recorded at 5:00 p.m. this Sunday and minimums above 18.4 degrees.
