Morocco has rescued this morning 29 people who were in a pneumatic boat and who initially warned that they were near Lanzarote, although their proximity to Tarfaya was later confirmed, as reported to EFE by a spokeswoman for Maritime Rescue.

These are 26 men of sub-Saharan origin and 3 Maghrebi, who initially warned that they were approaching the east coast of Arrecife.

Therefore, Salvamento sent Helimer 202 and Guardamar Talía to the place, which confirmed that the position given by the occupants of this pneumatic boat was wrong, which was reported to Rabat.

Finally, the Moroccan rescue services assumed the coordination of this device, which took place at 01.21 hours.

As La Voz published, during the weekend eleven boats arrived that were intercepted in 24 hours. Between Saturday and Sunday a total of 578 people arrived on the island.
