Maritime Rescue has rescued two boats this Friday 14 kilometers off the coast of Lanzarote, as reported by CECOES.

The Salvamar Al Nair vessel intercepted the first vessel, a 7-meter inflatable boat, at around 3:30 p.m., with 57 occupants: 52 men and five women, mostly sub-Saharan, but also with some people of Maghrebi origin.

Subsequently, the Salvamento vessel located another inflatable boat with 59 occupants (53 men, 5 women and one child), also of Maghrebi and sub-Saharan origin.

The Red Cross has assisted them upon their arrival at the port of Naos and has referred one of the occupants to a hospital center for various pathologies.
