Maritime Rescue rescues a second boat in waters near Lanzarote

There could be 52 people traveling in the boat, 50 men and two women, according to CECOES

Maritime Rescue has rescued a second boat in waters near Lanzarote this Monday afternoon, according to the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES).

There are about 52 people traveling in the boat, 50 men and two minors, of Maghreb origin and in apparent good health. In addition, after the rescue, they have been transferred to Puerto Naos in Arrecife to be attended by the Red Cross. 

The boat was detected at 2:35 p.m. through the SIVE of the command of the Civil Guard of Las Palmas, sailing 16 nautical miles southeast of the island of Lanzarote
