Maritime Rescue has rescued a boat near the coast of Lanzarote, according to the Emergency Consortium. The rescue occurred about 20 miles southeast of Arrecife.
There were 57 people on board, including three women. The Salvamar Thalía has transferred them to Puerto Naos where they have been assisted by Red Cross volunteers.
After assistance from the NGO volunteers, two people were evacuated to the Molina Orosa Hospital for different pathologies.
