Several readers of La Voz have contacted the media to send images of the haze covering the sky of Lanzarote this Sunday, March 12.
"I went for a walk along Avenida Naos early in the morning and I couldn't see what was 100 meters away from me. I could barely distinguish the silhouette of the castle of San José", says one of the readers. "It has been tightening and loosening for a couple of hours, but right now you still can't see more than 200 or 300 meters", he adds.
Another person has shared photographs of the haze on El Reducto beach and the Gran Hotel de Arrecife, whose highest part could not be clearly seen.
"Although it looks like fog, it is not. It is haze and it occurs when humid and hot air comes into contact with the cold sea", says the Arrecife resident.
