Lanzarote is very close to having 80% of its target population with the complete Covid vaccination schedule, a goal that will be reached in a few days. In addition, 60.4% of the island's young people between 12 and 19 years old have already received the complete vaccine.
According to data provided by the Lanzarote Health Area, since the beginning of vaccination until this Thursday, 216,474 doses of vaccines had already been administered on the island, with 106,918 people with the complete schedule, which represents 77.54% of the target population over 12 years of age.
With at least one dose, there are already 112,713 people in Lanzarote, that is, 81.74% of the target population.
By age groups, those over 80 have already been 100% with the complete vaccination schedule for weeks, while the 70 to 79% group is at 96.7% and the 60 to 69 year olds at 90.7%. Of the citizens between 50 and 59 years old, there are already 90.6% who have received the complete vaccine.
The percentage of vaccinated with the complete schedule among the population of 40 to 49 years is 79.4%, while in the group of 30 to 39 years it is 67.2%. Finally, there are 59.2% of young people between 20 and 29 years old who have already completed the vaccination, while, as indicated above, this percentage is 60.4% in the age group of 12 to 19 years old.
Vaccination in the Canary Islands
In the Canary Islands as a whole, 2,931,753 doses of vaccines have already been administered, with 1,476,789 people having received the complete schedule, which represents 75.28% of the archipelago's target population. Among young people aged 12 to 19, the percentage vaccinated with the complete schedule is 40%.
With at least one dose, there are 1,614,938 people in the Canary Islands, which represents 82.36 percent of the target population over 12 years of age, which amounts to 1,960,774 people.
