Lanzarote has provisionally registered 4 new cases of covid in the last 24 hours, as reported in a press release by the Ministry of Health. The number of accumulated cases on the island amounts to 1,450

In all the islands, 99 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus have provisionally occurred. The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 22,144. In the last 24 hours, we must regret the death of a man in Tenerife, 90 years of age, with previous pathologies and belonging to the outbreak in the Santa Rita nursing home.

By islands, Gran Canaria adds 16 cases today with a total of 9,617 accumulated cases; Tenerife has 9,734 accumulated cases, 75 more than the previous day. Fuerteventura adds four new cases in the last 24 hours, with accumulated cases at 936. La Palma does not register new cases and has 220 accumulated cases, while La Gomera does not add new cases either, so its accumulated cases stand at 118. For its part, El Hierro without new cases, maintains its accumulated cases at 69.

The Ministry of Health recalls that this data is provisional because, as indicated by the Coordinating Center for Alerts and Emergencies, from this moment on, it will not receive epidemiological information from the Autonomous Communities on weekends and holidays, so there will be no communication of complete data nor will the Grafcan website be updated on those days as usual. Thus, the daily update will be active again on working days from this Wednesday, December 9.

Therefore, the data contained in the press releases that will continue to be sent daily as until now may vary once they are epidemiologically reviewed and consolidated by the General Directorate of Public Health according to the established protocols, so in the following days discrepancies may arise in the update of the data contained in the Grafcan website.
