The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has established a yellow alert for maximum temperatures for this weekend in Lanzarote. Thus, the temperature is expected to reach up to 34 degrees on the island. This episode will particularly affect inland areas and the southern slope of the island

The yellow alert will be in effect this Sunday, between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM,

Looking ahead to this Saturday, cloudy intervals are expected in the north and west of the island, with cloudy skies predominating in the early and late hours. The presence of dust in suspension is also expected, with the entry of haze, which is already causing problems in the air quality indices in Lanzarote.

Minimum temperatures will be unchanged and maximums with a slight to moderate increase, between 18 and 27 degrees, especially in inland southern areas, where they could reach up to 32 degrees. Meanwhile, the wind will be moderate from the north, tending to decrease at the end of the day.

Meanwhile, looking ahead to Saturday, cloudy intervals are expected in low-lying northern areas, with predominantly clear skies during the central hours. Haze will continue again in the eastern islands, lightly in the midlands.

Temperatures will see a slight to moderate increase, which will be particularly noticeable in the maximums in inland areas, between 20 and 33 degrees.

As for the wind, it will be moderate from the northeast in low-lying areas, occasionally strong in the northwest and southeast extremities of the mountainous islands. It will blow from the east-southeast in the midlands and high areas.
