The heat increases, temperature alert declared throughout the Canary Islands

The heat wave that Lanzarote is experiencing had its highest peak this Monday, reaching 39 degrees at the station located at the Lanzarote airport. In addition, in some areas of the island without official measuring devices, the thermometers have risen above that figure.

The heat will continue on Tuesday, when the orange warning for high temperatures will remain active. It will be on Wednesday when it begins to subside, according to the forecasts of the State Meteorological Agency, which expects maximums of 32 degrees for that day.

As for the wind, it will continue to blow with intensity on Tuesday, although there are no warnings activated for this reason. In this case, Aemet predicts maximum gusts of up to 45 kilometers per hour, especially during the morning.
