Lanzarote already has 64% of its target population with the complete Covid vaccine schedule

There are already 100,558 people on the island who have received at least one dose of the vaccine and more than 88,000 who have received both

Covid-19 Vaccination at the Insular Hospital

Although the rate of vaccination has decreased in Lanzarote, the island is very close to having 70% of its target population with the complete vaccination schedule against Covid. And it is that, there are already 64% of the citizens of the island over 12 years of age who have received the two doses of the vaccine. 

In total, according to data provided by the Lanzarote Health Area, 187,499 doses of vaccines have been administered on the island and there are 100,558 people, 72.9% of the target population, who have received at least one dose. With the complete vaccination schedule, there are already 88,194 people in Lanzarote. 

In the last eight days, 8,792 doses have been given in Lanzarote, of which 2,648 were first doses and 6,361 were second doses. This represents an average of about 1,100 doses per day compared to the almost 1,500 that had been given daily on average in the previous eight days or the nearly 3,000 daily that were given in previous weeks.

 

Vaccination by age groups

By age groups, those over 80 years of age have already completed the vaccination schedule at 100% for weeks, while the group of 70 to 79 years of age is at 96.1% with two doses and 97.1% with at least one. As for the group of 60 to 69 years of age, there are 84.2% with the complete schedule and 93.5% with at least one dose. 

In the age group of 50 to 59 years of age, 87.3% have already reached two doses and there are 89.2% with at least one; and in the age group of 40 to 49 years of age, 74.3% of the population is with the complete vaccination schedule and 77.8% with at least one dose of the vaccine. 

The percentage of vaccinated with at least one dose among the population of 30 to 39 years of age is 64.1% and with the complete schedule 55.6%; and in the age group of
20 to 29 years of age
there are 34.5% with the complete schedule and 53.3% with at least one dose. 

Finally, among those under 20 years of age, there are already 24.4% who have received at least one dose and 3.3% who have both.
