Lanzarote has once again added another 81 positive cases of Covid in the last day, thus confirming that the sixth wave is still far from leaving the island. However, this Thursday 123 discharges have also been reported, so the active cases have fallen again, after the increase that was recorded on Wednesday. Specifically, Health now places them at 392.

In relation to the number of tests carried out on Wednesday, a total of 289 were carried out in Lanzarote, a lower figure than that registered the previous day, when 448 were carried out.

Health places the accumulated incidence at 154.67 cases per 100,000 inhabitants at 7 days and 352.35 at 14 days.

Regarding the deceased, the Ministry of Health has subtracted one this Thursday, pointing out that it obeys "a statistical adjustment", so there would be 68 and not 69 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, 14 of them in this sixth wave. It should be remembered that last Monday, the Ministry had reported a death on the island that was not known to the Lanzarote Health area. Then Sanidad reported that it was "pending validation", and that is the one that would have been subtracted now.

In total, 19,150 patients have already been diagnosed with coronavirus on the island, of which 18,691 have overcome the disease.
