The Arrecife native Kevin Umpiérrez, candidate for Lanzarote to 'Míster Spain 2023', will travel on November 18 to Alicante to participate in the contest, representing the province of Las Palmas. The 26-year-old will share a few days of preparation with the various provincial candidates from all over Spain in Elche. Of all the young people who are presented, one of them will manage to win the place to head to the 'Míster Global' contest in Peru in 2024.
It is not the first time that he has participated in beauty contests, he has already done so previously in the Canary Islands. He already presented himself in March 2023 to 'Míster Las Palmas', a contest in which he was the first finalist. In addition, after that selection, they called him for his next contest, the 'Míster Global Mediterráneo', held in the Archipelago. Winning that contest was what prompted him to prepare to be the next 'Míster Spain 2023'.
The young man has had to prepare both physically and mentally. "I have had to rehearse a lot to be able to let go and work on the shame", he highlighted to La Voz. A preparation that has consisted of "going to train a lot at the gym" and giving "pasalera and modeling classes", added the candidate.

Some rehearsals after which he is ready and waiting for the expected day to arrive. "I see myself physically and mentally very well prepared", he pointed out. I am so committed to the contest that "I would like to be the first from Lanzarote to take the prize", he added with enthusiasm.
In addition to dedicating himself to modeling, Kevin Umpiérrez also dedicates himself to managing a small company that he has had for five months.
