This Monday night Juan Machín passed away, the longest-serving member of the Popular Party of Lanzarote.

The president of the Popular Party of Lanzarote, Astrid Pérez, has expressed her regret for the death of Don Juan Machín Machín, at the age of 106, and on her behalf and on behalf of the Popular Party, she extends her deepest condolences to all members of his large family, friends and relatives.

"Juan Machín has left us at 106 years old. The oldest member of the PP of Lanzarote. But also a dear person has left, whom I loved very much. I have great sadness. A huge hug and kiss to all his family. RIP MACHIN", Perez wrote on her social networks.

The president of the PP in Lanzarote has conveyed her condolences and deeply regretted the loss of Don Juan, “a man of strong convictions and character, with great strength and vitality, cheerful, a friend of his friends, who knew how to face with fortitude the difficult moments of life but also fully enjoy all the good that life gave him with a smile and mischievous eyes.”

“Today is undoubtedly a sad day for the Popular Party family because the longest-serving member has left, who over the years has shared important moments with us because he has always been there, always willing. Without a doubt, Machín leaves us with a very large void not only on a personal level but also as a political family”, acknowledged Astrid Pérez, who maintained a very special and close relationship with Don Juan Machín, who was the owner of the Golden Gull of the Popular Party and who accompanied Pérez in her candidacy for the Arrecife City Council in 2019.

“One of the greats has left, rest in peace”, concluded Pérez.
