The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has begun this Saturday to carry out a screening looking for the coronavirus in a sample of 2,000 people from the neighborhoods of San Francisco Javier and Tinasoria. This measure has been taken after detecting significant presence of covid in the analysis of wastewater that has been carried out by the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
A team made up of health and non-health personnel is already working on performing PCR tests to detect the presence of covid-19. This device is made up of 13 nurses and 3 nursing assistants, in addition to 2 orderlies and 3 administrative staff.
Sanidad is looking for the virus in residents of the Tinasoria and San Francisco Javier areas to isolate it and prevent the spread of the pandemic. During this Saturday, it is expected to be able to carry out PCR tests on approximately one thousand people.
