Gasoline 95 rises 14% in Lanzarote in one month and 28% compared to 2020

Gasoline 98 has also reached a historic high in October, reaching 1.305 euros per liter

The price of fuel in Lanzarote in the month of October reflected a more than significant increase compared to the month of September. So much so, that the liter of gasoline 95 was at 1.223 euros, 14% more than in the month of September, when it cost 1.065 euros. In addition, that percentage becomes even greater when we compare it with 2020, since in October of last year the liter of gasoline cost 0.949 euros

At that time, prices had dropped significantly due to the pandemic, but in the last year the trend has changed, with sharp increases especially in recent months, as reflected in the figures collected by the Lanzarote Data Center.

Gasoline 98 has not been left behind in the price increase either, reaching a value of 1.305 euros per liter in the month of October. This translates into an increase of 11.63% compared to the month of September, when it cost 1.169 euros. In addition, it reflects a percentage increase of 24.1% compared to 2020, when it was at 1.052

The price of gasoline 98, like that of 95, has also experienced an increase since just a year ago. So much so, that in November 2020 the price of gasoline 98 was 1.032 euros, this being the lowest value of the entire year. 

Finally, the price of diesel has also increased considerably in the month of October, reaching the price of 1.150 euros per liter, 11.87% more than in the month of September. Continuing with the comparison with the year 2020, diesel reaches an increase of 27% compared to the same month of last year, when the liter cost 0.905

 

La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro, only islands more expensive than Lanzarote

As usual, Lanzarote has the most expensive gasoline and diesel in the province. Fuerteventura, for example, registered the price of gasoline 95 at 1.192 euros; that of 98 at 1.293, quite close to the Lanzarote data, and diesel reached 1.096 euros per liter. In Gran Canaria, on the other hand, it is at 1.130 euros per liter of gasoline 95, while gasoline 98 reached 1.255 euros in October. Finally, the diesel of the capital island reached 1.052 euros per liter. 

Tenerife, meanwhile, registered in October the lowest price of gasoline 95, settling at 1.126 euros per liter. Gasoline 98, meanwhile, reached a price of 1.254, while diesel had a price of 1.068 euros per liter. 

Only the islands of La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro had higher prices than the island of Lanzarote in the month of October. La Palma reached a price of 1.278 euros per liter in gasoline 95, 1.369 euros per liter of gasoline 98 and 1.197 euros per liter of diesel. La Gomera, meanwhile, reached a price of 1.379 euros per liter of gasoline 95, 1.479 euros per liter of gasoline 98 and 1.295 euros per liter of diesel.

Finally, El Hierro, which is usually the island with the most expensive gasoline in the archipelago, reached the price of 1.379 euros per liter of gasoline 95, and 1.501 per liter of gasoline 98. As for diesel, the meridian island reached the price of 1.333 euros per liter.
