The Official School of Languages of Arrecife opened this Tuesday, July 15, the extraordinary period for enrollment for the 2025-2026 course, whose face-to-face educational offer includes the possibility of studying English levels A2.1 and A2.2 in Playa Blanca.
The southern council reminds residents that "this is a great opportunity to start learning this language" and that those interested have until July 20 to formalize their request. If there are vacancies, a second extraordinary registration period will be opened from July 28 to September 16.
The forecast is that there will be two groups, one for each level of English, with a maximum of 30 students and a minimum of 15 students. These are regulated studies that are taught on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. and from 5:55 p.m. to 8:05 p.m., for A2.1 and A2.2, respectively. The A2.1 level does not require prior qualifications and the A2.2 requires having passed the first one. The start date of the next course is September 22 and it will be the third consecutive year in which the EOI teaches classes in annex classrooms of the CEO Playa Blanca.
The Yaiza City Council encourages the interested population to take advantage of this training opportunity that allows progress in the knowledge of the English language, “a fundamental tool both to improve employability and for social and cultural integration, especially in a tourist town like Playa Blanca”, highlights the mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda.
