Last Friday at 8:30 p.m., Elisa Betancort inaugurated her exhibition "Lend me an image", which can be visited until February 15th at the Miramar hotel, in front of the Puente de las Bolas in Arrecife. With this exhibition, the hotel establishment inaugurated a cultural season, which will last nine months and in which other exhibitions can also be seen.
The opening of the exhibition, in which Anya Ensamble performed, was attended by "many people", who even "did not fit in the room". And the hotel does not have an exhibition hall as such, but an area behind the reception has been set up to display these paintings. "It has to be specific works," says the artist, Elisa Betancort.
Betancort, for example, has decided to exhibit a series of paintings of "abstract landscaping, referring to Lanzarote and the volcanoes." "I have included a series of figurations, of faces that are looking and are mixed with the abstract treatment of the volcanoes. It is painting and drawing in the same piece," she explains.
Her exhibition can be visited until February 15, and after them will come other exhibitions, as the hotel "wants to intervene and contribute to the cultural life of Arrecife, where there are few exhibition spaces."
