Eliana Parrilla, from Teguise, will attend the swearing-in of the Constitution of Princess Leonor, which will be held this Tuesday in Madrid. The events will take place throughout the day at the Congress of Deputies and the Royal Palace.
The 23-year-old from Lanzarote will meet Leonor along with other young people who are also invited to the big event. The Accésit 'Joven Canarias' 2023 Award has led her to be able to attend the event, a recognition for her social involvement over the years.
Parrilla won the Accésit 'Joven Canarias' 2023 Award a couple of weeks ago for her career, impact and social work. "I have been volunteering since I was 15 years old", she explained to La Voz. "I was collaborating in the immigrant care center of Lanzarote" and with some associations in the City Council of Tías.
She has also studied Social Education and created the student delegation at the Faculty of Education of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. City in which she now lives and is studying a Master of Social and Community Welfare.
"I'm leaving for Madrid now," said the young woman. She confesses that she comes with "great enthusiasm to see how the event will be", an event that she did not expect to go to. "It's news I wasn't expecting, when they called me I thought it was a joke," she revealed.

What makes her most nervous is "complying with the dress code" that she has already been notified of. "It's the first time I have to comply with it," she acknowledged. Among the guidelines that have been given to us for the event, she highlights that "I have to wear a short dress to the knee and I can't wear necklines or straps."
An event that begins in the morning, in which the guests will be "entering in order of public office" and will last an hour, at which time, at the end, they will go through the kissing of hands and meet Leonor. In addition, she confirms that in the afternoon there will be a "protocolary event", which she will not attend.
In addition, after attending the ceremony, Televisión Española will record a report in which they will talk about "the problems of today's youth", the young woman highlighted. A topic with which she is very familiar.
The Accésit 'Joven Canarias' 2023 Award, which was awarded to her "a few weeks ago", will be in her hands next Friday, November 3, in an event that will be held in La Gomera.
