The photo of the Italian Elena Segatini that captures how "Sometimes, the limits are exceeded", is chosen as the winner of the IRONMAN 70.3 Lanzarote 2016 photography contest. "The emotion aroused by the photo, for all the effort and accumulated exhaustion of this triathlete after crossing the finish line, have convinced the members of the jury", according to the organization. "It is no coincidence in the photos of Elena Segatini that she is known for having a special sensitivity that gives her the ability to steal fragments of the soul of her subjects to print them in her images," they add. Elena Segatini has won a week at Club La Santa.?
The second prize is for Aero-bike la Santa by Alberto Gómez Millán, from Barcelona. From the Club they point out "that he leaves us this moment in which the triathlete climbs one of the first slopes of the cycling route against the light". This time he has won a weekend at Club La Santa with half board and entrance to the Wellness. The third prize is for Concepción Rodríguez Civantos from Cáceres. His photograph "There is no fear", is an image of the three paratriathletes, from behind, in their wetsuits and shortly before the start in swimming, for which he receives a weekend at Club La Santa on a room only basis.
Regarding the award for the best spectator, the organization states that "without a doubt, it goes to this team of Danish spectators, who were convinced that they were the best. In any case, they were the best at presenting their candidacy. They had made shirts for everyone with a photo of the 2 participants they were supporting and a Danish flag."
